Participation of NCC students in EK Ped MAA KE NAAM 3.0

 

Aim

The NCC aims to develop character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. Further, it aims at creating a pool of organized, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life, who will serve the Nation regardless of which career they choose.

Genesis

NCC of Independent India was inaugurated on 15 Jul 1948. In the year 1948 a total of 96 units of Senior Division were raised, comprising a variety of units to include one Armoured Corps, three Artillery, five Engineers, two Signals and two Medical – and 83 companies of Infantry.
